American House East I is a hidden
hamlet in Roseville. This beautiful two-story building
was designed to resemble a Belgian castle, and is
truly a royal place to live. There are a total of
ninety-nine rooms, all beautifully appointed and
ready for your own special furnishings.
We offer efficiencies, one-bedroom, and one-bedroom
with a den, and two-bedroom apartments. Every apartment
has a living room and dinette area, a complete kitchen
with storage cabinets, and a large bedroom and closet,
a bathroom with a low-rise bathtub and shower, a
coat closet, and a large walk-in closet. Utilities
are included in the apartment price. The resident
pays for their telephone and cable only. Every apartment
comes with a storage unit in the lower level. Our
housekeeping department thoroughly cleans every
apartment once per week. They will also do a resident's
laundry for a monthly fee, or the resident can
do their own free of charge in our two complete laundry
rooms. Our housekeeping staff will also collect
residents' trash daily, and make their beds. Carports
are available for our residents who own vehicles
for a monthly fee.
Our common areas include a large lobby entry with
skylights, a gas log fireplace, a grand piano, and
a stairway leading to a second level open-air common
area. We have a wonderful library and selection
of current regular and large-print books, and computers
for resident use. Our stained-glass windowed chapel
holds services for all denominations. An additional
gathering area holds cable television and an inviting
fireplace. Our wonderful dining room is decorated
with rich colors and chandeliers. A continental
breakfast, a large noon dinner, and evening supper
are prepared daily by our executive chef and are
included in our price. Our lower level houses a
large exercise room where exercise instruction is
given five times a week, an indoor putting green,
shuffleboard, darts, pool, ping-pong, craft room,
potting room for plants, pottery room and kilns,
a woodworking shop, and a large party room with
patios. It also holds a movie-viewing area with
a large gas fireplace.
An onsite personal care company is available on
to assist residents with daily living skill items
such as bathing, and medication reminders for a
fee.
