The mission of the American House Foundation (AHF) is to improve the quality of life for older adults in communities in which American House living facilities are located. By joining forces with Wayne State University's Institute of Gerontology, AHF applies current knowledge and expertise and is finding simple solutions to the complex problems of aging.

By investing in research, education, and outreach we are working to correct health and aging disparities and to provide assistance to identified individuals in need.

As the population is aging and the need for senior services is constantly increasing, AHF hopes to generate awareness and spread knowledge throughout the community of these issues. With generous private and institutional donations, AHF has been able to help many seniors in our area to find a solution their problems and have helped families stay together.
