Time to Unwind

Deep breathing- Stress can cause shallow, rapid breathing, preventing a full supply of oxygen. Breathing at a slower, deeper pace can provide immediate relaxation.

Try this: Stand up and take a full breath through the nose, filling the belly. Then, exhale through the mouth. Repeat for 10-15 reps.

Listen to music- Soothing music can reduce stress while lowering blood pressure and heart rate.

Try this: Put on your favorite tunes and get lost in the music.

Exercise- Exercise is a natural stress reducer. Increasing your heart rate during a workout burns calories and the hormones your body produces when it’s under stress.

Try this: Take a stroll around the block. A brisk walk outdoors will help release feel-good endorphins, reducing stress and angst.
