SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Executive Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall management/integrity of the building during weekends and as scheduled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Ensure the highest quality of customer service is available for our residents
  • Respond and address to any resident concerns which arise during shift
  • Responsible for carrying out any emergency procedures required during shift
  • Responsible to be knowledgeable and successful using the BILD sales system
  • Responsible for running or overseeing weekend activities
  • Notifies Executive Director of emergency situations
  • Notes areas or articles in need of repair and reports to Assistant Director
  • Other duties as assigned by Executive Director

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Culinary Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Assisting the Culinary Director in the overall functioning of the dietary department.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Culinary Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring a high quality, positive dining experience for our residents.

Life Enrichment Director

Job Description: Life Enrichment Director

SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Corporate Lifestyle Coordinator, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall responsibility of enriching the lives of our residents. If position is Assistant Lifestyle Director, job responsibilities and direction will be under the Lifestyle Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Ensure the highest quality of customer service is available for our residents
  • Engage in prospective resident visits
  • Perform welcome orientation with new residents
  • Programs for the month should be based on the Whole Person Wellness Model and should incorporate at least 2 of the 6 experiences (Intellectual, Social, Emotional, Vocational, Spiritual, and Physical) from the model.
  • Prepares monthly lifestyle newsletter using current program/software
  • Use of iPad to enrich the lives of our residents
  • Proficiency with software applications/programs/tools used by American House for Lifestyle Director position.
  • Responsible for department petty cash and/or credit card, keeping a record of all cash receipts, expenditures and balancing on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for communicating with weekend manager for all pertinent information and schedule of weekend activities
  • Represent American House professionally in all community events
  • Designs and completes the main activity board
  • Responsible to update seasonal/holiday decorations throughout the building
  • Schedule and provide transportation for both group events and personal appointments
  • Create and maintain outing sign up sheets
  • Establishes, recruits, and oversees volunteer program

RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice President of Operations

Position Summary: Plans, directs and coordinates all day to day operations of multiple facility supportive care campus. Ensures that appropriate documentation is maintained. Ensures that AHSL Holland Operations policies and licensing standards are properly followed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years experience working with elderly and their families.
  • Possess credentials in geriatric related field. May be LPN, RN or hold degree in Social Work or a related health care field.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Administrator

  • Hire staff including interviewing potential employees, completing reference checks for applicants, providing oversight of completion of appropriate paperwork for new hires and other tasks associated with hiring staff.
  • Interaction with residents, families and staff including resident care conferences, staff meetings, informal interaction with staff, informal interaction with residents and their families and other interaction as necessary.
  • Coordination of services with outside care-providers and resident advocacy agencies.

  • Planning functions as needed for excellent operation of campus. Make rounds as necessary to gather information and interact with staff.

  • Designates campus schedulers and provide oversight as necessary to ensure adequate staffing is maintained.
  • Take sales calls from prospective residents/families. Conduct tours and perform admissions of residents.
  • Provide oversight of preparation of payroll records.
  • Directly supervise work of Administrative Assistant for campus.
  • Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness are maintained in campus interiors. Inspect and oversee work of Housekeeping as necessary to do so.
  • Promote Life Enrichment activities through interaction with Life Enrichment staff and oversight of overall campus operations.
  • Ensure adequate training and orientation of new employees as well as on-going training is being accomplished for campus staff.
  • Participate in Management Team Meetings and other Company-Wide teams as assigned by President and/or designee.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with residents, family, staff, visitors and the public.
  • Take responsibility for campus budget with particular emphasis on resident occupancy and staff labor.
  • Participate in and support QA process throughout the company.
