Providing studio apartments in the main building and ranch-style independent living "villas" in the campus beyond, American House Dearborn Heights is ideally situated near family, friends, shopping, and familiar medical professionals in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Redford, Livonia, and Westland. We are also in close proximity to the following hospitals Garden City Hospital, St. Mary Mercy Livonia, and Oakwood Hospital. Dearborn Heights Senior Living provides Independent Living with assistance available.*

Dearborn Heights has both studio apartments (ground floor) and ranch-style Villas with 1 or 2 bedrooms. The Villas feature private entrances, full kitchens, living rooms, washer/dryers, and porches. Dearborn Heights Senior Living also has a community dining room, a cozy fireplace lounge - and much more.

Resident services include flexible service plan options for the Villas, restaurant-style dining available for breakfast, lunch and dinner - as well as scheduled transportation. An Activity Director plans a wide range of cultural, social and recreational activities and trips. Housekeeping and laundry services are also available.

Floorplan options at Dearborn Heights Senior Living include studio apartments all on the ground floor, as well as independent ranch-style villas with one or two bedrooms. Our Villas feature private entrances, full kitchens, living rooms, washer/dryer, and porches. The 2 bedroom villas are ideal for "roommate" shared living arangements.

Executive Director | 29 years experience

Liz has almost three decades of experience working with seniors in many settings, from nursing homes and hospitals to independent living. Her vast experience includes office administration, admissions, HR, purchasing, accounting, and overall community management. Well-versed in wearing the many hats required of an American House Executive Director, Liz explains that "at times, you could call me a social worker, mentor, case manager, but most importantly, a friend to all seniors that need my assistance. I truly enjoy my daily encounters with seniors and being able to help their family members work through their concerns over their parents health."

From Southfield/Bloomfield Hills area; go south on Telegraph road pass Joy road, turn right on Ann Arbor Trail, pass Beech Daly road, American House will be on your right.
From the West:
Go east on I-96, exit at Inkster road, turn right on Inkster road. Pass Joy road, turn left on Ann Arbor Trail, American House will be on your left.
From the East:
Traveling on I-96, exit at Telegraph road, turn left on Telegraph. Pass Joy road to Ann Arbor Trail, turn right on Ann Arbor Trail, go pass Beech Daly, American House will be on your right.
Traveling on I-94, exit north on Telegraph road pass Warren Ave., pass Ann Arbor Trail do a turn around to head south bound. Turn right on Ann Arbor Trail, go pass Beech Daly and American House will be on your right.
