CHRIS LAYMAC
Executive Director | 13 years experience
With certification as a chef among her accomplishments, Chris began her American House career on the nutrition side. Starting as a night cook at our Elmwood location in 1996, Chris became assistant cook, then headed the dining services there. Her enjoyment of seniors led her to become Activity Director at another location, and in 2003 she became Executive Director of her own community, Royal Oak. A member of the Chronic Illness Coalition and the Alzheimer's Association, Chris credits her many long-term staffers in creating "a homey atmosphere... we are comfortable and cozy, and we all think of each other as family."
