Community Reviews

My Dad loves the American House Freedom Place. They remind him when to go to his meals, they check on him all the time and he goes to exercises every day. They are always doing something there - lots of live entertainment.

My mother needed to transition from rehab to memory care in a hurry. Amanda was and is amazing! I met with her on a Monday and within eight days my mom was ready to move in. There was a lot to accomplish and she worked with me and the rehab center very closely to make it happen in record time! The entire staff at Freedom Place are wonderful and they work hard to make the residents feel comfortable.

My mom is THRIVING at American House Freedom Place. The staff is friendly, patient and caring. She has been here for over 6 months and I cannot express how thankful I am for their professionalism and loving care.

Kayla chose American House for her mom, Beth. This is their story.

My Mom, Beth, and I don’t have the chance to spend most mornings together, but I take comfort knowing she’s well-tended to. The caregivers have developed a meaningful relationship with her; she often tells me that she loves them like her own.   In the morning, the caregivers assist her with getting ready, and although it takes them extra time, they even help her with her makeup. I know this means a lot to mom. She would never go out without her makeup, and it’s the little things that count.   After breakfast, Mom loves attending aromatherapy. It sets her up for a calm and relaxed day. Mom’s favorite activity is chair yoga! Chair yoga is normally scheduled right after aromatherapy so it’s a smooth transition for her.   Lunch usually flies by, but the caregivers make sure she stops midday to have a cup of hot tea. The caregivers help her pick what type of tea, and she really enjoys the whole process. Dinner is always the main event of the evening. Mom enjoys getting “dolled” up to see her friends and neighbors.
