American House Raises Over $50,000 For Alzheimer’s Association

This summer, American House participated for the first time in the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day fundraising event. Between our corporate and individual community teams, we created 55 global teams as well as 97 individual participants. We set our first-year goal at $50,000. We are proud to report that at the program’s close on July 31, the total raised was over $50,900!

According to Kathleen Colonello, Events Manager for The Longest Day, “It is incredibly rare to meet and exceed your goal on your first attempt and we thank American House for their partnership!”

Using their creativity and individual passions, our communities hosted a variety of events to raise funds and promoted them through traditional media and on their social platforms. Events included car shows, carnivals, barbecues, offsite comedy shows, and even a lemonade stand.

In addition to donations and contributions from social media sharing, our home office held a wine tasting event and silent auction.

Everyone from our enterprise who donated time or funds for this important cause deserves a huge thank you! Alzheimer’s affects not only the residents we serve, but our own lives, every day. Feel good that you joined the fight to help end this disease.

“With the commitment and passion of our beautiful residents, families, staff, and sister companies REDICO and Continuum, we raised over $50,000! On behalf of American House, we thank all who participated in bringing light to this important cause.”
